How to Setup XBox Live With Routers

"Xbox Live" is Microsoft's online multiplayer service for owners of the Xbox 360 console. To use Xbox Live, you'll need to have your console connected to the Internet. If your home has a wireless network set up that is being broadcast from a router, you will have to manually connect your Xbox 360 to this network via the router using the console's menu system.

      Turn on your Xbox 360.

      Choose "Settings."

      Select "Network Settings."

      Open the "Advanced" window.

      Open "Wireless" and then "Settings." Select the name of the wireless network your router is creating. Choose "Infrastructure Mode" from the next screen. Type in your router's password (if prompted and if applicable) and select "Save." Your Xbox Live connection will now be set up via your home networking router.
