      Plug a USB flash drive into your personal computer. After a couple of seconds your computer will automatically detect the USB drive and present you with a list of options. Select "Open folder to view files" from the list.

      Locate the AVI file you want to watch on your Xbox console, and drag and drop it into the USB flash drive's folder. Once the transfer is complete, disconnect the USB drive.

      Turn on your Xbox console and plug the flash drive into an available USB port. Two USB ports are located on the front of the console, and one on the back.

      Scroll to the "Video Library" tab under the "My Xbox" heading. Press "A" to continue.

      Highlight the USB flash drive from the list of available sources. Press "A" to open the folder.

      Select the AVI file and press "A" to begin watching. You may require a media update to play the file. If so, click "Download Update" when prompted.
