How to Fly the Helicopter for Grand Theft Auto 4 on Xbox 360

Multiple helicopters are available in the XBox 360 version of "Grand Theft Auto 4." Controls for the helicopter differ from the land and aquatic vehicles. You can control not only the direction of the helicopter, but also the elevation, camera views, radio stations and maps. Multiple attempts may be necessary to become accustomed to the control scheme of helicopters.

Instructions

- 1
  Press "Up" on the D-Pad to use your cell phone. Press "Down" on the D-Pad to skip through cell phone dialogue or zoom away from the map. Use "Left" and "Right" on the D-Pad to cycle through radio stations.

  Change the angle of the aircraft with the left analog stick and control the camera with the right analog stick. Press "B" for the cinematic view and "Back" to cycle through views. Press "Start" to pause the game.

  Press the left bumper button to rotate left and the right bumper button to rotate right. Use the left trigger to move the helicopter down. Use the right trigger to move up.
- 4
  Press "Y" to get out of the helicopter.
