How to Get the Clothes Early in Grand Theft Auto 4 for the Xbox 360

Three different stores sell clothes in the "Grand Theft Auto 4" (GTA 4), but several clothing options are only available after you complete specific missions. Mission strands are not linear, so put a priority on those missions with clothing awards to get clothes faster. You can also get clothing options early if you play and score well in online ranked matches.

Instructions

  Complete the "Three's a Crowd" mission in "Hove Beach" to access The "Russian Shop" clothing store for low-end apparel. Play the "Blow your Cover" mission to unlock the island of "Algonquin" as early as possible. High end clothing options there include shirts, ties and suits from the "Modo" and "Perseus" retailers.

  Complete the "Flatline" mission to earn hospital "scrubs." Finish the "Taking out the Trash" mission to gain access to a Liberty City sanitation department uniform.

  Complete "Three Leaf Clover" and save immediately to retain the three-hole mask used during the bank heist of this mission. The mask can hide your identity when you perform other crimes.

  Press the "Up" button on the directional pad to access your in-game cell phone and the multi-player option over Xbox Live. Select "Multi-player" and "Ranked Match" to access online game options and eliminate as many opponents as possible. Your rank will increase quickly, meaning you'll have the means to buy extra clothing.
