How to Transfer an XBLA Game Disc to the Hard Drive

The Xbox 360 is a gaming console from Microsoft. Hard drives of various sizes are available, which you can install on any version of the console. To help games perform faster, users have the option to install game discs to the console's storage unit. Thus, if you own an Xbox Live Arcade (XBLA) retail disc, it is efficient to transfer it to the hard drive and avoid using the console's optical unit altogether.

  Turn on the Xbox 360 and insert the game disc into the optical drive unit.

  Go to the "My Xbox" tab from the console's main menu. Select "Game Library" with the "A" button on the controller.

  Press "A" on the XBLA game disc, highlighted by default from the "Recent Games" section.

  Click "Install Game" from the following options menu and select your default hard drive as shown. Allow sufficient time for the game to install, depending on the disc's total size.
