How to Mute a Wireless Xbox Headset

The Xbox 360's wireless headset removes the hassle of tangled, knotted wires dangling from your ear while communicating with friends on Xbox Live. The headset includes all of the features as its wired counterpart, such as volume adjustment. And, although there is no visible button labeled "Mute," you can still silence your microphone.

Instructions

      Press and hold the headset's power button. The button has the same symbol as the power button on the Xbox 360.

      Tap the power button after the headset turns on. A beeping sound through the headset's earphone indicates the device is muted.

      Tap the "Power" button again to turn off mute. Again, the headset beeps to indicate you have successfully un-muted the unit.
