How to Connect the XBox to a Samsung Cinema System

The Samsung Cinema System is a home theater system that provides a 5.1-channel surround sound system and multiple HD and SD video inputs. The Xbox is a video game console created by Microsoft that has multiple video game titles that use HD graphics. If you own both a Samsung Cinema System and an Xbox video game console, you can connect the two to provide a HD gaming experience inside of your home theater setup.

  Arrange your Samsung Cinema System speakers. The Samsung Cinema System comes with five speakers and a subwoofer. Place the center speaker above or below your television set, the two front speakers at a 90-degree angle and 2 feet from the left and right of your television and the two surround speakers at a 110 degree angle 2 feet behind your main seating location. Then, place the subwoofer next to your television on either the left or right side.

  Connect your Samsung Cinema System to your television. Using an HDMI cable, plug one end into the HD video output on your Samsung Cinema System and the other end into the HD video input on your television. Next, plug one end of your HD audio cable into the audio output on your Samsung Cinema System and then plug the other end of your audio cable into your television.

  Connect your Xbox to your Samsung Cinema System. Using an Xbox HDMI cable, plug one end into the HD output on your Xbox and then plug the other end of your cable into the HD input of your Samsung Cinema System.

  Test your setup. Turn on your television, Samsung Cinema System and Xbox. Put a Xbox game into your Xbox console. If your connection is setup properly, you will have the ability to play your Xbox game on your television through your Samsung Cinema System.
