How to Burn an Xbox 360 ISO File

An ISO image is an archive extension used to store large batches of data. This data file is primarily used when storing copies of your original discs for backup purposes. To use the image file, you must burn it onto a dual layer disc to make it Xbox 360 compliant. Copying the ISO file is an efficient process using Windows 7's native ISO burning capabilities.

Instructions

    • 1

Insert an empty dual layer DVD into your computer's optical disc drive. Search for the Xbox 360 ISO file you wish to copy from your local hard disk.

    • 2

Right-click the Xbox 360 ISO file and select "Burn Disc Image." Alternatively, right-click the Xbox 360 ISO, select "Open With" and click "Windows Disc Image Burner."

    • 3

Click the "Disc Burner" drop-down menu and select your default optical disc drive. Click "Burn" to start copying the Xbox 360 ISO file to disc. Click "Close" once the burning process finishes.
