XBox 360 Looks Blurry on a 17 Inch LCD Monitor

When connecting an Xbox 360 to an LCD monitor, it is important that the Xbox 360 screen resolution is set to match the default resolution for the monitor. If the proper setting isn't used, the video signal transmitted to your LCD monitor can be blurry and/or just not look right. The default screen resolution for most 17-inch LCD monitors is 1280 x 1024 pixels, which can be set in your Xbox 360 display settings.

     Turn on your Xbox 360 console, go to the "My Xbox" menu, and then choose "System Settings."

     Select the "Display" option from the list, and then choose "Screen Resolution" on the following page.

     Scroll down the list to the "1280 x 1024" screen resolution, and then press the "A" button to select it. The video signal on your 17-inch LCD monitor should now change from blurry to a sharp, crisp and clean image on your screen.
