How to Use an External Hard Drive on a PC to Download XBox 360 Content

The Xbox 360 game console has an internal hard drive to save downloaded games, profiles and gamer tags. However, many users want the possibility of extending this capacity and the ability to take their Xbox 360 content with them in the form of an external hard drive. The Xbox 360 firmware update released in April of 2010 supports this option. The user simply configures the external hard drive for FAT32 storage with his PC and then plugs it into the Xbox 360. The device is ready for up to 16 gigabytes of extra storage after a few simple steps.
