How to Make Gold in Dragon Age

Complete quests. Many of the quests in "Dragon Age: Origins" reward you with gold in addition to gear or experience, so try to complete as many as you can.

Sell junk. As you venture through the world, completing quests, you will pick up quite a bit of junk from slayed foes. Sell this junk to a local vendor to add to the quest profit.

Steal as much as you can from the characters around you. As your character levels, you will earn more money each time you pickpocket someone. Stealing is an easy, if underhanded, way to earn gold.

Craft potent lyrium potions and sell them. To craft one of these potions, you will first need to purchase the recipe from Wonders of Thedas in Denerim. Once you have a master herbalist in your party, you can combine lyrium dust, concentrator agent, distillation agent, and a flask to make potent lyrium potions. You should be able to make roughly 20 gold for every 100 potions crafted.

Perform the "easy gold" glitch. Place the most expensive item you have in the junk area of your inventory. Speak with a merchant, open the junk bag, and select the item. Hit the Y button and the A button almost simultaneously, with the A button following the Y button by less than a second. This will cause your item to be sold at twice its value. Buy it back from the merchant and repeat the glitch until you have as much gold as you desire.
