How to Use the Xbox Wireless Mic

The Xbox 360 features various optional peripherals that can be used to create a more realistic gaming experience. For example, the Xbox 360 Wireless Microphone can be used with "Rock Band," "Guitar Hero," "Lips" and any game that supports outgoing voice features. Similar to other wireless peripherals, the wireless microphone must first be synchronized to the Xbox before it becomes functional.

  Twist the head of the microphone and pull it away. Slide the battery cover off. Insert two AA batteries as illustrated on the body of the battery compartment. Close the battery cover and replace the head of the microphone.

  Turn on the Xbox 360.

  Press and hold the "Power/connect" button on the bottom of the microphone. The light on the microphone will flash. Press the "Connect" button on the front of the Xbox 360. When the lights stabilize, the microphone will be synced with the Xbox 360. In the game or application that uses the microphone, hold the microphone one-half inch to three inches away from your mouth for accurate reception of your voice.
