How to Activate Netflix on an Xbox

Netflix is a service that allows individuals to watch a potentially endless array of films and television shows for a small, monthly fee. Because of its popularity, the service now has the ability to stream thousands of movies and television shows into your home and onto a variety of devices, including an Xbox 360. With a high-speed internet connection and the proper Netflix membership, activating Netflix on an Xbox is not difficult.

Broadband internet
Internet-enabled computer or mobile device
Internet-connected Xbox 360 with inserted HDD and Xbox Live gold membership

  Power on your Xbox 360. Once the console has booted, use your Xbox 360 controller and navigate to the "Video Marketplace."

  Click "Netflix." You will then be prompted to download Netflix onto your console's inserted hard disk drive. Once downloading is complete, log in to Netflix via your e-mail address and password. You will see an activation code appear on your television screen.

  Open the browser on your computer or mobile device and go to the Netflix device activation page (see Resources). Click the button that reads "Continue Xbox 360 activation" and type the activation code as it appears on your television screen into the field titled "Enter Code." Once entered, click "Activate" and you will be able to view content via your Xbox 360 and Xbox Live.
