Making Your GameBattles Logo
Open Microsoft Paint by clicking the "Start" button, then "Programs," then "Accessories," then "Paint."
Click the "Resize" button found in the top left-hand corner of the screen.
For both the horizontal and vertical text boxes, enter 300 as the value. GameBattles logos must measure 300 by 300 pixels. If you try to upload a GameBattles logo that's a different size, your logo will be distorted.
Select your background color by first clicking the "Fill With Color" tool found in the top left-hand corner under "Tools." This tool looks like a paint can. After selecting the paint can, left-click one of the colors found on the top-right of your screen. Left-click the white canvas to make that your background color.
Insert a text box by clicking the "Text" tool under "Tools" near the top left-hand corner of your screen. This tool looks like a black capital A.
Left-click the canvas. Type your team name or initials for your team in the text box.
Select a shape to use under "Shapes" and drag the shape on the canvas so it surrounds your text box. Using a circle is a popular option.
Click "Brushes" and select which type of brush you want to use. Left-click the color you want to use for painting near the top-right hand corner of your screen. Left-click, hold and drag the mouse button on your logo to paint the logo and make cool shapes and designs.
Registration
Open your Internet browser and go to the GameBattles website.
Click the yellow text that says "Join GameBattles" in the top right-hand corner of your screen.
Enter your account information, personal information and image verification. Select "Options" and check off the box that says "Yes, I have read, understood and agreed to" after reading the GameBattles Terms of Use, GameBattles Privacy Policy, Major League Gaming Terms of Use and the Major League Gaming Privacy Policy. Click "Join GameBattles."
Check for a confirmation email and click the link provided to confirm your registration.
Starting a New Team
Log in to your GameBattles account with your user name and password at the top right-hand corner of the screen.
First you'll need to select which game you want to make a team for on which console. On the top toolbar, select the console on which you want to play.
On the right-hand side of the screen, scroll through the list and select which game you want to play. For this example, we'll be using Halo Reach.
Click the yellow "Create a Team" button on the right-hand side of the screen.
Select the ladder for which you want to create a team. Options include the Dr. Pepper $10,000 Team Ladder, SWAT Ladder, Doubles Ladder and Singles Ladder. For this example, we'll be using the SWAT Ladder. Click "Join the Halo Reach SWAT Ladder."
Type in your team name, custom URL and Xbox Live Gamertag.
To upload your team logo, click "Browse" next to "Team Logo" under the blue "Appearance Information" heading. Select the image file that contains your team logo and click "Open." Click "Create Your Team."
