Tools for the Xbox Elite

The Xbox "Elite" console is equipped with an external HDMI output and is often shipped with a 60 GB hard drive attached. Xbox 360 Elite consoles are manufactured by Microsoft Corp. and are sealed with Torx size 7 screws. The console sends data via SATA connections for the DVD drive and hard-drive. Freeware software tools from the Internet utilize your PC to modify the Xbox 360 Elite to run custom code.
  1. Torx Screwdriver

    • A Torx size 7 screwdriver will open the Xbox 360 Elite's case.

A Torx screwdriver (size 7) is needed to open the Xbox 360 Elite console. There are several Torx screws located on the Elite machine's interior metal case, which can be removed using a Torx size 7 screwdriver.

    SATA Cable

    • A SATA cable connects your Xbox 360 Elite to a computer.

A SATA cable transmits data between the Elite console and devices such as a hard-drive, DVD drive, or PC. A SATA cable connects to the Elite console's motherboard or DVD drive. This tool is important because no data can be sent to the Xbox 360 Elite without a SATA cable.

    Xbox 360 Modification Programs

    • Several freeware software tools have been developed for the Xbox 360 Elite.
