Instructions
Use wire strippers to remove the wires and jack from the connector on your alternate headset. You should now see four wires: a blue wire and red wire (for the speakers) along with a white wire and bare wire (for the microphone).
Use a screwdriver to unscrew the screws on your Xbox 360 headset connector to expose the connector's circuit board.
Remove the red, blue, white and bare wires from the Xbox 360 headset circuit board.
Use a soldering gun to attach the red, blue, white and bare wires from the alternate headset to the proper positions on the Xbox 360 circuit board. The alternate headset should now be connected to the Xbox 360 circuit board.
Use the screwdriver to put the Xbox 360 headset connector back together. This alternate headset will now connect to your Xbox 360 controller.
