Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas came out in 2004 as the follow-up to Grand Theft Auto III and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, telling the story of Carl Johnson, known as C.J., a thug on a quest for revenge in the fictional California-like state of San Andreas.
