Xbox Controllers Compatible With the 360

Microsoft's Xbox 360 console uses wired or wireless controllers to interact with games, menus and DVDs. Depending on the individual needs of the gamer, there are several versions of Xbox 360 controller available that will work fluently with the console. Using an Xbox controller is as simple as holding it in your hands and hitting the right buttons, but in many gaming environments timing is everything.

Microsoft Controllers
- Microsoft has manufactured several versions of the Xbox 360 controller. Controllers are available in several colors as well as in wireless and wired formats. Wireless controllers run on two AA batteries but can also be hooked to "play and charge" systems that feature rechargeable lithium-ion battery units. Microsoft will not offer support for any Xbox controller that it did not develop.
