Ensure that your router is plugged into an electrical outlet and connected to your home Internet connection. A green LED status light on the router will indicate proper function and data transmission. Connect an Ethernet cable to the router and the rear of your Xbox 360. The Ethernet cable has two identical ends that plug into Ethernet ports on both the router and Xbox 360. The Ethernet cable plugs will slide in and click when inserted fully into an Ethernet port.
