How To
As of 2010, Microsoft only makes XBox units that support VGA, composite or HDMI connections, according to XBox.com. You can, however, connect an XBox to a DVI capable device by using a an HDMI-to-DVI adapter.
Benefits
While not a true XBox-to-DVI connection, using an HDMI-to-DVI adapter is the only way to play XBox games on many large screen Apple monitors, according to TeamXBox.
Warning
If you use an HDMI-to-DVI connection, expect your HD-DVD and DVD movies to appear at a much lower resolution than your games, according to Microsoft. DVI devices cannot handle the high-bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP) protocol found on most media.
