How to Hook Up Monster Cables to TV From X-Box 360

Play your Xbox 360 games in high definition by hooking up Monster connectivity cables. The Monster GameLink Component Video or VGA connection creates a better hookup with an enhanced game-playing visual experience. In addition, the Monster cables deliver Dolby Digital surround sound. Use the GameLink Hookup Guide to be sure you're making the correct connections. There are three video cable options, depending on which Monster cable you have purchased. The hookup instructions vary slightly for each cable.

Fiber Optic digital audio cable
Component video stereo audio cable
VGA video cable
S-Video cable

Instructions

  Plug the gold-tipped end of the video cable into the back of the Xbox. The video cable could be the S-Video and Stereo Audio, Component Video and Stereo Audio, or Component Video and Fiber Optic, depending on which Monster video cable you have.

  Plug the other end of the chosen video cable into the back of the TV. Match the colors to the input plugs--white left, red right and S-video; and green Y, blue B-Y and red R-Y.

  Plug the Digital Audio Input Optical cable, if using the Component Video and Fiber Optic cable, into the Digital Audio Input Optical slot on the back of the TV.
