How to Get to Play Halo on Your Custom Maps

Halo: Reach includes several added features over past installments including armor upgrades, load-out selections and new weapons. Bungie also added "Forge World," an expansive map where gamers can heavily customize, create and save their own level. Afterward, the gamer can set up a "custom" match and share their map with friends on Xbox LIVE, their local area network, or locally on the same console.

Instructions

    • 1

Load Halo: Reach on your Xbox 360.

    • 2

Sign into your account (the one you used to create the custom map), when prompted.

    • 3

Choose the storage device that your map is saved to from the next prompt. This is likely your hard drive.

    • 4

Select "Main Menu" from the title screen.

    • 5

      Select "Custom Game."

    • 6

      Highlight "Map" then press "A."

    • 7

Select "Local Files." This allows you to view the maps saved to your profile.

    • 8

Select "Forge World" from the maps list.

    • 9

Choose the name of your map variant from the drop-down list of maps existing under "Forge World." The map will take a moment to load, as indicated by the on-screen progress bar.

    • 10

Select "Start Game" to begin playing your custom map.
