Instructions
Turn on your Xbox 360 console and controller and insert the Halo: Reach game into the disc tray. Select "Play Halo: Reach" if the game does not load automatically.
From the main screen, you can choose either to start a solo campaign or go to the main menu for more options. If you choose to start a solo campaign, you will choose your difficulty and proceed into the game.
Choosing "Main Menu" will lead to a variety of options from which to choose. "Campaign" leads to the solo campaign; "Matchmaking" allows you to play online against opponents. Through "Matchmaking" you can play against friends sitting on the couch next to you at home, or with friends online in various places.
Choose "Firefight" to fight against waves of enemies. Here you can select the difficulty of the AI, select the map you wish to play on, and also play with friends.
Choosing a custom game allows you to play with friends at home, or online. This option allows you to choose the map, game type and game options with which you wish to play.
Press the "Start" button before choosing a game type, and pull up a list of other options, including changing the appearance of your character, audio and video settings, controller layout, and more.
Select any of the available options to begin playing Halo: Reach. If you do not know the controls, you can simply press "Start," navigate to "Controller," and select "Button Layout." This will show you a picture of the controller, and display what buttons have what function. You can easily change settings here based on your needs, and toggle the buttons to suit you.
