Fight Night Round 4
"Fight Night Round 4" was released on June 23, 2009 for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. It had licenses to depict real life boxers such as Manny Pacquiao, Lennox Lewis and Sugar Ray Leonard. "Fight Night Round 4" introduced a new damage system that tracked each individual punch and determined the damage it did based on stamina and speed. Multiplayer supported two players on split screen and two players online via Xbox Live or the Playstation Network.
Mike Tyson Heavyweight Boxing
"Mike Tyson Heavyweight Boxing" was released on July 16, 2002 for the Xbox and Playstation 2. Players could fight as Mike Tyson and 16 other heavyweights in a series of realistic bouts in arenas based on sites like Caesars Palace and Wembley Arena. The game's career mode (Belt Mode) gave players a chance to unlock new enhancements for the fighter and new arenas. The Create-A-Fighter mode allowed players to create a fighter with the physical attributes of their choosing. The Multiplayer was limited to two player split screen.
Ready 2 Rumble: Revolution
"Ready 2 Rumble: Revolution" was released on March 17, 2009 for the Nintendo Wii. Like other titles in the series, it was fast paced and cartoonish and emphasized fun over extreme realism. "Ready 2 Rumble: Revolution" used the Wii's motion controls to manipulate the action. Multiplayer was limited to two player split screen.
Rocky Legends
"Rocky Legends" was released on September 28, 2004 for the Playstation 2 and Xbox. The fighters included characters from the film series, and the soundtrack had remastered versions of the "Rocky" theme. All of the fights took place in backdrops featured in the films.
Knockout Kings 2001
"Knockout Kings 2001" was released on February 7, 2001 for the Playstation and Playstation 2. Like "Fight Night" it used renderings of actual famous fighters for its characters. It followed an earlier version but was easier to understand. Each fighter had a signature move, and the game had a "haymaker" feature that could, if timed properly, suddenly change the outcome of a fight.
