How to Connect an Xbox With SpeedStream

The Xbox game system not only has a large listing of games, but an also exceptional online gaming community. This allows you to play against friends or strangers in hundreds of different online communities. However, in order to access the Internet on the Xbox, you must have it hooked up to a high-speed Internet connection, such as one produced by the SpeedStream connection modem.

  Plug the Ethernet cable into one of the "Out" ports on the SpeedStream modem.

  Insert the opposite end of the Ethernet cable into the "WAN" port on the back of the Xbox system.

  Power on the Xbox and the SpeedStream. Select "Xbox Live" from the startup menu. The Xbox automatically detects the Internet connection. You do not need to adjust any other configurations to connect the Xbox to the web.

  Type in your user information (use the game controller's thumbsticks to select specific letters and press the "X" button to accept the letters). Enter your credit card information (you must pay a monthly fee to gain access to Xbox Live), then submit the data, and you are ready to begin playing online.
