How to Use an Xbox 360 Memory Card to Move Profiles Between Consoles

Transfer Profile to Memory Unit

  Turn off the Xbox 360.

  Insert the memory card into the memory unit slot on the front of the Xbox 360.

  Turn on the console, and then access the dashboard.

  Go to the "My Xbox" area, pan to the last blade, "System Settings," and select it.

  Select "Memory." You will be prompted to choose a memory device.

  Select the device that stores your profile, such as the hard drive.

  Choose "Gamer Profiles," and then highlight and select the profile you want to add to the memory unit.

  Select "Copy" from the resulting menu. A new screen will appear asking you to choose a storage device to copy the profile to.

  Choose "Memory Unit" from the resulting menu.

Transfer Profile to Console

  Turn off the Xbox 360.

  Insert the memory card containing the saved profile into the memory unit slot on the front of the Xbox 360.

  Turn on the console and go to the dashboard.

  Go to the "My Xbox" area, pan to the last blade, "System Settings," and select it.

  Select "Memory." You will be prompted to choose a memory device.

  Select "Memory Unit" from the list of storage devices.

  Choose "Gamer Profiles." Highlight and select the profile you want to copy from the memory unit.

  Select "Copy" from the resulting menu. A new screen will appear asking you to choose a storage device to copy the profile to.

  Select the storage device, such as the console's hard drive, from the resulting list to finish copying the profile to the Xbox 360.
