How to Set Up Xbox 360 to Wireless Internet

Maybe you're tired of tripping over excess cables around your Xbox 360 console or you'd simply like to be able to set up your Xbox 360 wherever you want. The solution to both of these problems is simple: You can set up your Xbox 360 console to connect to wireless Internet, as long as you already have a working Internet connection and a wireless router set up in your home.

      Connect the wireless network adapter to the Xbox 360 console. There are several wireless network adapters on the market specifically designed for gaming consoles, which connect to the console through either the Ethernet port or the USB port on the back of the console.

      Turn on the Xbox 360 console.

      Scroll up or down to go to the "My Xbox" menu.

      Scroll right to go to the "System Settings" menu, and press the "A" button.

      Scroll down to go to "Network Settings," and press the "A" button.

      Select "Configure Network," and press the "A" button.

      Select "Wireless Mode" under the "Basic Settings" tab, and press the "A" button.

      Select "Scan for Networks," and press the "A" button.

      Select your wireless network, and press the "A" button.

      Select "Yes" and press the "A" button when prompted to confirm that "you are about to connect to a wireless network."

      Select "Test Xbox LIVE Connection" on the "Network Settings" menu to confirm that your Xbox console is connected.
