How to Combine a Laptop & a Xbox 360

With an Xbox 360 connected to a laptop computer, the game console can experience some of the same features as the computer, such as pictures, music and even the Internet connection. While not all documents are available to be shared between the Xbox and computer, any kind of media located on the Windows Media Player on the laptop will also be accessible on the Xbox as well.

Instructions

Ethernet Cable

  Connect one end of the Ethernet cable into the Ethernet port of the Xbox 360. This port can be found on the back panel.

  Plug the opposite end of the cable into the Ethernet port of the laptop.

  Open the desired program, if the media files are desired, open the media center from the dashboard on the Xbox.
USB Cable

  Connect one end of the USB cable into the USB port of the Xbox 360.
- 5
  Connect the other end of the USB cable into the computer's USB port.
- 6
  Open the media player from the Xbox 360 dashboard to open any media files.
