How to Program an Xbox Universal Remote

The Xbox 360 has several media features, including video and music streaming as well as DVD playback. Unlike the original Xbox, the Xbox 360 allows its owners to control the DVD player using a standard controller. But, for those wishing to use a normal remote control, Microsoft also sells a universal remote capable of not only controlling media playback, but also your television.

     Power on the TV you wish to program to the remote.

     Hold down "OK" and "TV" on your remote for two seconds. This puts the remote in programming mode.

     Press the channel "Up" or"Down" button until the TV powers off.

   • 4

     Press "TV" on the remote to save the settings after the TV powers off. The programming process completes after every button on the remote flashes three times simultaneously.
