How to Set Your XBox Controller to Autofire

A typical Xbox 360 controller does not come stock with the autofire, commonly known as the rapid fire, feature. This special feature is found on modified controllers. The Xbox Live code of conduct does not permit very many of these custom modifications but rapid fire can be used on a properly modified controller legally without a concern of cheating. Modified controllers can be purchased from companies like Evil Controllers, that specialize in the production of Xbox 360 controllers. Each of these controllers will be activated differently depending on the game and the controller but there are some general rules that apply to most modifications.

  Obtain a modified Xbox 360 controller a specialized controller website like Evil Controller. Purchase a controller that will work with the console and game in use. This feature is available on many first person shooter games but not many other games so check the lists online to find compatibility.

  Enter live multiplayer mode as normal.

  Activate the rapid fire feature by executing the correct key combination on the controller. This information may come with a custom controller when it is ordered or it may be found online where the controller where ordered from. Some controllers have a button on the backside of the controller that toggle the rapid fire option on and off.
