How to Update the Xbox 360 Media Player Without a High-Speed Connection

The Microsoft Xbox 360 is designed to be connected to the Internet for regular system updates and game fixes. Without updates, software components such as the system's dashboard and media player can become outdated and may not work with all games or provide the full complement of features. Downloading directly to your Xbox 360 requires a high-speed Internet connection, but if you can't connect your Xbox 360 to one, updates can be downloaded to a computer on a low-speed connection and copied to a USB drive or CD.
