Cars handle as they really would when they're taken around the race track and through bustling urban areas. Features like a rewind ability allow drivers to turn back time and correct a crash or wrong turn, making this game accessible even to novice players.
Need for Speed Most Wanted
Starting as an amateur racer, a young man is competing against a rival named Razor, and about to win. Not too eager to give up his position on the Blacklist, a roster of the city's 15 best racers, Razor and his friends sabotage the race. The man is arrested and loses his car and respect as a driver. After getting out of jail, he's ready for revenge. In "Need for Speed Most Wanted," players must take on enough races to work their way up to the number one position on the Blacklist.
Dirt 2
Players will race cars, buggies and trucks through multiple terrain types in the rally racer title "Dirt 2." By hopping in an RV and driving around the world, racers will visit exotic racing locales such as Malaysia and Morocco. The game offers modes like X-Games and World Cup Tournament, and the online multiplayer mode supports up to 100 racers at a time.
Burnout Revenge
Instead of being rewarded for good driving, "Burnout Revenge" rewards racers who cause the biggest crashes, traffic jams and general mayhem on the road. In crash events, players choose a car or truck, and then launch it through busy city streets in an attempt to cause the biggest possible pileup. Or, if players prefer, they can get straight to the races, where taking out opponents is the key to getting ahead.
Test Drive Unlimited
As newcomers to the Hawaiian island of Oahu, players must work their way through the racing circuit to afford better cars, clothing and houses in "Test Drive Unlimited." The entire island of Oahu has been re-created, allowing players to drive for miles through a tropical paradise. After taking on the single player races, drivers can head online for multiplayer mode, where races can occur anywhere around the island.
