How to Synchronize a Guitar Hero Guitar to Xbox 360

The "Guitar Hero" series of video games, which is available on the Xbox 360, allows gamers to play hundreds of popular songs using video game instruments. These instruments are available in both wired versions, which plug into a video game system, and wireless versions. Although the wireless versions are slightly more complicated to set up because they must be synchronized with the game system, the wireless instruments give gamers more freedom to move around. This is especially useful for portable instruments such as the "Guitar Hero" guitars.

     Turn on the Xbox 360.

     Turn on the wireless "Guitar Hero" controller that you want to synchronize with the Xbox 360.

     Press and release the "sync" button on the Xbox 360. The "sync" button is a small circular button in between the Xbox 360 power button and the memory card inputs.

     Press the "sync" button on the wireless "Guitar Hero" guitar. This button is located on the rim of the guitar near the guitar's power button. The guitar will immediately synchronize with the Xbox 360, and you will be able to use the controller within a few moments.
