Instructions
Insert the USB drive into your PC. Go to "My Computer" and locate the USB drive under "Devices with Removable Storage." Right click on the drive and then left click on "Properties." Under "File System," it should read "FAT32." Disc capacity should be greater than 1 GB. If both of these criteria are not met, the USB is not compatible for use with the Xbox 360.
Eject the USB drive from the PC. Insert it into the Xbox 360 USB slot, which is located on the front of the unit behind a movable panel. Turn on the Xbox 360.
Navigate to the "My Xbox" panel of the dashboard and scroll over to "System Settings" and press the "A" button. Scroll down to "Memory" and press the "A" button. Under the "Storage Devices" section, select "USB Storage Device" and press the "A" button.
Configure the device by selecting this option from the "USB Storage Device" screen and pressing the "A" button. There are two options. You can opt to have the Xbox 360 erase all the data on the USB drive or you can partition only part of the USB drive for Xbox use. To erase data, select the "Configure Now" option and press the "A" button. To partition, select the "Customize" option and press the "A" button. The system will provide a slider so that you can choose how much space is used by the Xbox 360.
Wait while the Xbox 360 tests the USB drive for compatibility. If you followed this guide, it should pass the test, and you can now use this USB flash drive with your Xbox 360 and PC.
