Xbox 360 offers an add-on HD DVD unit that connects to the game system. This player will let you watch HD DVDs using your Xbox machine, saving you from having to purchase a separate HD DVD. You won't be able to open the drive until you properly connect the device to a power source. Use the AC power supply provided by Xbox; another power supply with the wrong wattage can permanently damage your device. Once the DVD player has power, you will be able to open the drive and begin watching HD DVDs.

Connect one end of the power supply cord to the input on the back of the Xbox HD DVD drive.

Connect the other end of the cord to the AC power supply.

Connect the entire cord to a power source, such as a wall outlet.

Press the "Eject" button on the front of the HD DVD player. If connected to a power source, the DVD tray will open up.
