How to Transfer an Xbox 360 Hard Drive to a Memory Unit

The Xbox 360 gaming system utilizes external hard drive devices (HDD) as its main source of memory storage. They come in a variety of storage sizes, and eventually you may find you are running low on storage capacity. By using an external USB hard drive device, you can extend the amount of storage space available. Transferring data from your Xbox 360's main HDD to an external USB drive can be done in the Xbox 360 dashboard.

    • 4

Select the hard drive from the "Storage Devices" menu.
