How to Play Def Jam Icon on the Xbox 360

"Def Jam: Icon" is a fighting game developed by EA Chicago and distributed by Electronic Arts for the Xbox 360 home gaming console. In the game, you take control of a small-time hustler who must fight for respect, and in doing so, take control of the careers of up-and-coming hip hop musicians on a quest for money and power. Since "Icon" is a fighting game, the majority of the controls focus on dealing damage to your opponent in a variety of ways.

Instructions

Fighting Controls

  Move the left joystick on the controller in order to move your character around the fighting area. Rapidly move the joystick twice in any direction to evade attacks.

  Press the colored buttons on the controller to perform strikes. The "A'"and "X" buttons perform fast strikes, and the "B" and "Y" buttons perform strong strikes.

  Press the "LB" or "RB" buttons to taunt your opponent.

  Use the right joystick to perform advanced moves. Moving the joystick up or down in conjunction with the "R" button will perform a block and/or reversal. Moving the joystick up or down will make your character grab your opponent, at which point you can move the stick again to perform a throw or press a button on the directional pad to perform a takedown.

  Press the left trigger button to activate the DJ controls.
DJ Controls

  Use the left joystick to control the music being played (fast-forward or rewind). Use the right joystick to activate big beat hazards, or rotate the stick to scratch the record.

  Press the left trigger button to counter scratch a record (when your opponent is scratching).

  Press down on the left and right joysticks to select a new song. Press the right trigger button to return to fighting controls.
