How to Set Up an Xbox 360 & Linksys Wireless Adapter

Online gaming has become increasingly popular over the years. If you have an Internet connection in one area of the house and the gaming system in another, going wireless is probably your best option. Installing a Linksys wireless adapter to your Xbox 360 is easy and can have you playing games online in minutes.

Things You'll Need

Xbox 360
Linksys wireless adapter
Wireless router
Ethernet cable

Instructions

  Connect the Linksys wireless adapter to the USB port on the back of your Xbox 360 console.

  Run an Ethernet cable from your router (provided by your Internet service provider) to your Linksys wireless adapter.

  Insert the installation disc provided by your Linksys wireless adapter into your Xbox 360 system.

  Restart your Xbox 360 to install the software. When the software has been installed successfully, remove the installation disc and turn the power off.

  Power up your Xbox 360 console to test your wireless adapter. Open up your "Xbox 360 Dashboard" and open up "System Settings." Under "System Settings," open up "Network Connections" and then "Test Xbox Live Connections."
