How to Turn on a Wireless Controller Xbox System Dashboard

Up to four wireless controllers can be connected at one time to the XBox 360 console, allowing as many as four users to play a variety of multi-player games. In order for the wireless controllers to work, however, they must be connected to the dashboard. This is a simple procedure, but the controller will not work if it is not done properly.

  Turn on the XBox 360 console.

  Turn on the wireless controllers. This can be done by pressing the center button on the controller; the button will flash green when it is successfully turned on.

  Press the "Connect" button on the console. This is the small button located next to the power button.

  Press "Connect" on the back of the controller. Once the green lights flash on both the controller and the console, the controller is successfully connected. The controller is now connected to the console and the dashboard as well. Complete the prior steps for each controller to be connected.
