How to Link a Controller for the Xbox 360 to Wireless

The Xbox 360 game console comes with a wireless controller that has to be connected. Establish a wireless connection for the controller by linking it to the console. A wireless controller will allow you to move around without restraint while playing games. The Xbox 360 wireless controller will work within 30 feet of the console system. As long as you stay within a reasonable range of your console, the wireless controller is easily operated.

  Press the tab on the "AA battery" pack and pull down to remove it from the Xbox 360 controller. Place two AA batteries into the battery pack. Look for the positive "+" and negative "-" slots on the battery pack to insert the batteries correctly. Slide the battery pack into the controller and press down to attach.

  Press down the "Xbox Guide" button on the controller until it powers on. Press the power button on your Xbox 360 to turn it on.

  Press the "Connect" button on the Xbox 360 console. Press the "Connect" button on the top of the wireless controller. Wait for the green ring of light on the controller and on the console to spin and flash once, which indicates the controller is now linked to the Xbox 360 wirelessly.
