How to Play Rock Band 2 With the Controller for the Xbox 360

Developed by Harmonix, "Rock Band 2" is a game released across a multitude of consoles, ranging from the PlayStation 2 to the PlayStation Portable, the Nintendo Wii and the Xbox 360. Typically, you must play "Rock Band 2" using either a guitar or drum peripheral to mimic playing the instruments. On the Xbox 360, you can use the controller to play "Rock Band 2," but you must be the vocalist.

      Attach the Xbox 360 headset to your controller. The headset plug resembles that of any regular set of headphones. The headphone jack on the Xbox 360 controller is on the bottom in the center.

      Turn on the Xbox 360 console while "Rock Band 2" is in the disc tray.

      Press "A" on Quickplay when the game loads. The game will automatically detect you as the vocalist and you can play using the Xbox 360 controller.
