How to Play Co-op on Saints Row 2 on One Xbox

"Saints Row 2," developed by Volition Inc. for the Xbox 360 and PS3, puts players in the shoes of a user-created character in a hostile city known as Stilwater. Borrowing many of the ideas from the popular Grand Theft Auto Series, the game has players run-and-gun in the third-person perspective as they jack vehicles while completing missions. Gamers can tackle the game on their own, but Xbox 360 owners with Xbox Live can also play a co-op mode, allowing them to team up with a friend or stranger online.

  Start up the game on your Xbox 360.

  Press the silver "Guide" button on the controller to call up the "Home" menu.

  Go to "Profiles" then choose your Xbox Live account. This logs you in to Xbox Live. The "Home" menu will close after the console signs you into Xbox Live.

  Press the "Start" button on your controller to bypass the intro screen for Saints Row 2." This takes you to the main menu.

  Choose "Co-op" from the main menu.

  Choose to either team up with someone on your friend list or to have Xbox Live randomly team you up with a random gamer. Choosing the former calls up your friends list. Select your desired friend you would like to invite then wait for them to join your game lobby.

  Select the game save you would like to load to begin playing "Saints Row 2" co-op mode.
