How to Put Custom Songs Into Guitar Hero 3 for the 360

Activision released the music game called "Guitar Hero III" in October 2007. One feature unique to the consoles of the next generation--which includes the Xbox 360 version--is the ability to access an online store and purchase custom songs to play. On the Xbox 360 version of "Guitar Hero III," you can download new, custom songs to keep the gameplay fresh.

     Power on your Xbox 360 console while "Guitar Hero III" is placed in the tray. Wait until the game loads to the main menu.

     Navigate to "Music Store" on the main menu. Press the green button on your guitar controller. Wait for the list of songs to appear.

     Press the green button on your guitar controller to purchase any song of your choosing.
