How to Set Up Your Xbox 360 Wireless Headset

Xbox designs its wireless headsets to be simple and user-friendly, so setting it up shouldn't be a chore, even for a new gamer. Once it's installed, you'll be able to chat in-game, give voice commands and hear the words of your fellow gamers clearly, since the microphone cancels background noise and has clear speakers in the earphones. The headset lasts for eight hours on a single charge, and warns you when it's about to die, so you won't miss a minute of action.

  Turn down the volume on your headset.

  Turn on your XBox, and then your headset.

  Press and release the connect button on your XBOX.

  Press and hold the connect button on your wireless headset. Once it is connected to the first quadrant, the first section on the ring of light will light up. Your headset should beep once when it is associated with the first quadrant.

  Hit the connect button again to assign the headset to the second or third quadrants. Once the correct quadrant is lighted, release the button and wait until the ring of light spins and flashes once. The light that remains lighted will tell you which quadrant the headset has been assigned to.
