Instructions
Remove the outer plastic shell of the Xbox 360 and open the case with the instructions provided in the Resources. Use the Torx size 7 screwdriver to open the metal interior of the console and slide open the casing. Your Xbox 360 motherboard will then be exposed and you will be able to access the SATA cable.
Unplug the broken/defective SATA cable from the back of the DVD drive and the 360 motherboard. Take your new SATA cable and attach it to the 360 motherboard and the rear of the DVD drive. Both ends of the SATA cable are the same.
Replace the metal cover of the Xbox 360 interior casing and rescrew the Torx size 7 screws. Replace the plastic outer casing on the Xbox 360 and return all power and video cables to their original positions before powering the machine on again.
