Things You'll Need
Instructions
Ensure that your Webstar modem is hooked up to either a wireless or wired router. Webstar does not currently make a modem with a built-in router, so you will not be able to connect your Xbox 360 with the modem alone.
Connect your Xbox 360 to your home network. If you have a wired network, you can simply run an Ethernet cable between your router and Xbox 360. If your connection is wireless, you will need a Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless N Networking Adapter in order for your Xbox to see the network.
Power on your Xbox 360 and navigate to the "System" menu. Choose "Network Settings," then "Edit Settings." If you're on a wireless connection, select "Wireless Mode," choose your network connection and hit "Done." If you are on a wired connection, you can skip this step.
Open Windows Media Player on your PC by clicking "Start," selecting "All Programs" and clicking "Windows Media Player."
Right-click "Library" and select "Media Sharing." Windows Media Player 12 users can click "Stream" and then "Turn on Media Streaming."
Click "Share My Media" and then hit "OK" to save changes. Allow Media Player to search for devices connected to your network---it should find your Xbox 360 in a few moments.
Click "OK" when finished. Your media library is now available on your Xbox 360 console. You can view this content by navigating to the Xbox 360's music or movies library and selecting your computer as the source.
