Halo
The Bungie-developed "Halo" series is compatible with the Xbox 360 console. Both the original "Halo," "Halo 2" and "Halo 2" multiplayer map pack can be used on the Xbox 360 console. Offering science fiction-based first person shooting action and extensive multiplayer modes, the "Halo" franchise continued on the Xbox 360 with the release of "Halo 3," "Halo Wars," "Halo ODST" and the 2010 release of "Halo: Reach."
Fable
"Fable," an action role-playing game developed by Lionhead Studios, is among the original Xbox titles compatible with the Xbox 360. Offering players the ability to choose between the sides of good and evil as they complete quests and witness the unfolding of an epic tale set in the world of Albion, "Fable" was followed up on the Xbox 360 by "Fable 2" and the 2010 release of "Fable 3."
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
The "Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic" series featured two games on the original Xbox, with the original game being developed by Bioware and the sequel by Obsidian Entertainment. Both games are among the original Xbox titles compatible with the Xbox 360. Roleplaying games set thousands of years before the events of the "Star Wars" films, the games allow players to experience battles between the Jedi and the Sith.
Grand Theft Auto
The Rockstar-developed "Grand Theft Auto" games for the original Xbox, including "GTA 3," "GTA: Vice City" and "GTA: San Andreas," are all compatible with the Xbox 360. Focusing on open-world action gameplay set in expansive fictional worlds, the games in the "Grand Theft Auto" series offer players with extensive freedom in the way that missions are completed. The "GTA" series was continued on the Xbox 360 with "Grand Theft Auto 4" in 2008.
Splinter Cell
Four original Xbox games from the "Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell" series are compatible for play on the Xbox 360. "Splinter Cell," "Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory," "Splinter Cell: Double Agent" and "Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow" have all been made compatible through system updates on the Xbox 360. Focusing on stealth-based gameplay and combat centered around a story of espionage and secrecy, the "Splinter Cell" series was continued on the Xbox 360 with the 2010 release of "Splinter Cell: Conviction."
