How to Upgrade Xbox Memory to 128

Buy an Xbox 360 memory card to upgrade your system's storage capacity. Decide how much memory you need, as memory cards range from 64MB to 512MB of storage. Install your memory card to save games, photos, music and videos. Use the memory card to take saved files wherever you go. Transfer your Xbox Live Gamertag to the memory card to unlock achievements no matter what Xbox 360 you are playing on.

  Decide whether you want to buy a new or used 128 MB memory card. Check the availability of memory cards with video game dealers in your area. Compare the prices at local video game dealers to make sure you are getting the best deal. Buy from a trusted dealer to avoid faulty hardware.

  Locate the two memory card slots on the front of your Xbox 360 console. Find them beneath the disc tray, beside the sync button. Choose the slot you want to insert the 128 MB memory stick, as the Xbox 360 will always ask which storage device you want to save to. Insert the memory card with the side labeled "Xbox 360" facing up.

  Turn on your Xbox 360. Choose "System Settings" at the end of the "My Xbox" tab. Scroll down and click on "Memory". Highlight your memory card. Hit the "Y" button on your Xbox 360 controller to bring up device options. Name your memory card here. Transfer content from other save devices here also.

  View content stored on your memory card by hitting the "A" button on the "Storage Devices" screen. Copy, move or delete content from your memory card here. Hit the "X" button for deletion suggestions. Take the memory card wherever you go to use your saved files on any Xbox 360 console.
