How to Create Custom Class for Call of Duty 4

In "Call of Duty 4," also called "COD4", players can either use pre-made "classes" of characters created by the designers of the game, or create their own class. Creating a class gives the player more control over how the character performs since the character's gun types, perks, death streak type and more are set by the player's preferences. The process is a free way of enhancing a character without violating the terms of service of the game.

Instructions

    • 1

Go to Create-a-Class in the Multi-player menu and press "A" on your controller. This will take you to the Create-a-Class screen with a list of options to be used to customize your class.

    • 2

Select a Create-a-Class slot and press "A." There are 10 create-a-class slots. Choose No. 1 if this is your first creation.

    • 3

Use the directional pad and the A button to choose your primary weapon from the weapons menu. Each class is only allowed one primary weapon. The options are assault rifles, sub machine gun, light machine gun, sniper rifle or shield.

    • 4

Move your cursor to the next menu in the line-up and choose your secondary weapon. You can choose one groups of weapons; machine pistols, shotguns, pistols and launchers.

    • 5

Click the directional pad to move your cursor to the equipment option and choose between a frag grenade, symtext, tactical insertion, blast shield, claymores and C-4.

    • 6

Go to the grenades category and choose your special grenades. Your choices are smoke, flashbang or stun grenades.

    • 7

Go to the perk list and select your first, second and third perk. Proceed to the last menu and pick a Death streak perk. These are activated only if you die four times in a row and gives your character one final boost. The options include copy cat, painkiller, martyrdom or final stand.

    • 8

Name your custom class in the space provided at the bottom of the screen.

    • 9

Press "B" on your controller to save your class. If you shut off the game before saving you will lose that class set-up.
