Download and install the free program JungleFlasher. As of August 2010, JungleFlasher is the only program capable of flashing Xbox 360 BIOS from within Windows. Older programs, which used MS-DOS, were prone to frequent crashing. JungleFlasher is the newest and most up-to-date Xbox 360 BIOS flashing application available. After JungleFlasher has installed, restart your computer. Log in to your user account again.

Run JungleFlasher. Select the Xbox 360 motherboard from its main menu. Click "Flash BIOS to Xbox 360." Check the box labeled "Use BIOS version 1.3" to use the latest version of the BIOS. Click "Flash BIOS." The program will begin flashing the 1.3 BIOS to the Xbox 360 console's motherboard. Wait for the flashing process to complete. Turn off the computer and disconnect the SATA cable from your PC to the 360 motherboard. Reconnect the SATA cable from the 360 DVD drive to the 360 motherboard. Replace the Torx size 7 screws. Replace the plastic case on the Xbox 360 before turning the console on again.
